Centre Parcs 2018

May 22, 2018

This week Hanover Dairies announced the company’s charity fund-raising initiative is sending eight families with terminally or severely ill children on an all-expenses paid summer holiday to Center Parcs, Whinfell Forest, Penrith, Cumbria. The first family participating in the 2018 sponsored week-long holiday initiative starts on 4th June.

Owing to the immense success of the inaugural 2017 charitable holiday experience, the company and its associate sponsors have raised sufficient funds to double the number of families involved in 2018 to eight families from the original four participants. The eight participating families involved have been selected by children’s charity, The Rainbow Trust, and include children and parents from Newcastle, Blyth, Sunderland, Middlesbrough, Hartlepool, Blackpool, Bolton and Manchester

The week-long holiday experience aims to help alleviate the day-to-day difficulties that families encounter with terminally or severely ill children. Children in challenging circumstances, who are rarely able to experience a normal family holiday environment according to company owner Mr Trevor Hanover, a Patron of The Rainbow Trust. He said: “The children and families encounter immense concerns on a day-to day basis and having quality time together is very rewarding. It’s an extremely beneficial experience for the children as well as parents and family members.

“Every penny raised by Hanover Dairies and associate sponsors goes direct to funding the charitable initiative. Hanover Dairies pays for every family’s transportation to Center Parcs and their return journey home. Each individual family also receives £1,000 of spending money as part of the package.”

The charitable initiative was the concept of Mr Hanover and the company’s managing director Tony Baldwin, as part of the fundraising work undertaken with The Rainbow Trust. Mr Hanover also secured sponsorship from outside the region through London-based property company, Appointmoor Ltd as well as, renowned charitable benefactors John & Annie Beaumont; Neil & Mel Harvey, Arnie & Katherine Kaplin and Michael Powney.

We will update with further information once the families have enjoyed the Holiday
